ORC Fall 2025 Week 2 | AI Inspo!

While some will have mood boards and space plans already in place, I have taken to ChatGPT and its visual transformations through Dalle. I took a virtual rendition of my Hall space I created in my design software and prompted AI for some visuals for varying space plan scenarios. This lets me visualize in 2D some possibilities I have envisioned. I am so glad to have this technology at my fingertips to relieve me of lingering doubts and make my life easier and speedier in completing this project!

Here is the original rendering I created a few years ago during the Pandemic that was entered into a Design Challenge for the sponsor and manufacturer Seasonal Living - the first virtual contest of its kind in 2020. I modeled it after my current home within the parameters of the contest requirements.

...Endless Possibilities

Before AI came into the picture, I could go back and forth trying to land on some ideas for clients to visualize an idea for their remodeling or new home projects. After we've come into some agreements regarding style, color, texture, and furnishings (and budget, of course) I now have a basis of what to include for their space! This might only be the genesis, but it can be what starts the mission!

1. I like the doors reimagined in matte black, whether for the front door or office French doors. 
2. The clustered smoked glass lighting pendant is quite fun and emphasizes the vertical height to appear as a grandeur entrance.
3. To compliment the wood floors, the earthy subdued colors in the rug are quite serene.
4. The openness of the bench with legs instead of fully upholstered is a preference that creates spaciousness.
5. The space feels airy, balanced and elegant - merging minimalism with modern organic charm!

I also can see why my original builder of my home modified the original plans and created a lofty entrance instead of only the 9 feet drawn. A win for sure!

Hopefully I can do some justice here, while creating a WOW moment!!

The week ahead

I will need to check out some lighting options so I can get my electrician on board quickly for any installation that for sure will be needed. Also, I will go on a local shopping excursion to hunt for a rug from a favorite source, and lastly, I will stop into my local Sherwin and Williams paint store to sample a few chips.

Whew--- this should keep me on track for our 8 week reveal timeline. Follow along @debsochic  on instagram and see what i find!!
